Tuning FreeNAS 0.7 Alpha and ZFS

harryd has put together some great notes on tuning the various system parameters for FreeNAS 0.7 with regards to ZFS.

He has been using FreeNAS 0.7 (rev. 3514) for several weeks and has discovered some interesting things.

One of the main things is that ZFS needs lots of memory. He has 2GB in his server and he shows how to allocate more for specific use by ZFS.
