Using ClamAV in FreeNAS

The “Life’s like that” blog has a post about how to use ClamAV with FreeNAS. If we use FreeNAS as a Windows share server (samba / domain controller). It might be handy if the server could detect any virus in the share directory. Although FreeNAS doesn’t come with ClamAV integrated it is easy enough to install it.

The post continues with instructions on how to use the pkg_add command to install ClamAV, how to update the ClamAV virus database and how to had daily scanning to the crontab.
